Director of Technical Program Management

We are seeking a highly skilled Director of Technical Program Management to lead our Enterprise product and platform organization. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for building solid platforms on mobile and web surfaces that deliver exceptional customer experiences.
As a Director of Technical Program Management, you will manage the enterprise platform hosting billions of documents across Capital One. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product roadmaps and future strategies, and work to pave the way for an expanding TPM discipline within the team.
Key Responsibilities- Lead technical programs that deliver on critical business goals and build large-scale products and platforms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product roadmaps and future strategies.
- Manage the enterprise platform hosting billions of documents across Capital One.
- Work to pave the way for an expanding TPM discipline within the team.
- Develop and implement strategies to drive technical innovation and excellence.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including product managers, engineers, and designers.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to team members.
- Identify and mitigate technical risks throughout the delivery lifecycle.
- Bachelor's degree in a related technical field.
- At least 7 years of experience managing technical programs.
- Strong technical background, with experience building highly scalable platforms, products, or services.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and influencing skills.
- Quantitative approach to problem-solving and a collaborative implementer of holistic solutions.
- Experience as a TPM leader, with a track record of growing and developing teams of TPMs.
- 7+ years of experience designing and building data-intensive solutions using distributed computing.
- 3+ years of experience in building distributed systems and highly available services using cloud computing services/architecture.
- 3+ years of experience building highly scalable mobile products and platforms.
- 3+ years of experience with Agile delivery.
- 3+ years of experience delivering large and complex programs, with a focus on business or technical vision, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and securing commitments on deliverables.
- Experience in building systems and solutions within a highly regulated environment.
