Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team at Mercy Health. As a Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for collecting blood samples from patients, processing specimens, and performing administrative duties as required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect blood samples from patients using aseptic technique and follow appropriate procedures.
  • Process specimens and prepare them for testing.
  • Perform administrative duties such as patient registration, payment collection, and data entry.
  • Work at multiple Mercy Health facilities as required.
  • Work alternate shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One year experience as a phlebotomy technician or demonstrates the ability to perform above essential duties.
  • Phlebotomy Certification preferred.
Working Conditions

The Phlebotomist will work in a fast-paced laboratory environment and will be required to stand, walk, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. Good eye/hand coordination and close vision are required. Frequent color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus are also necessary.
