Phlebotomy Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomy Specialist to join our team at Versiti Inc. as a Donor Center Technician. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing phlebotomy collections of whole blood and apheresis products, interacting with donors and coordinators to deliver an excellent donation experience, and working cooperatively as a supportive member of the team.
Key Responsibilities- Perform phlebotomy collections of whole blood and apheresis products
- Interact with donors and coordinators to deliver an excellent donation experience
- Work cooperatively as a supportive member of the team
- Conduct automation, including recognizing and responding to automation reactions
- Recruit and convert donors for automation
- Rebook donors for future donation appointments
- Understand and perform to all applicable regulatory and compliance requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Less than 1 year of job-related experience required
- 1-3 years relevant people-facing experience preferred
- Knowledge of standardized work routines and methods, general facts and information, and/or the use of simple equipment, machines, and materials
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as Standard Operating Procedures, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and other department manuals
- Must have basic mathematical aptitude
- Ability to apply judgment to written or oral instructions
- Ability to organize work to provide productive work flow
- Has strong attention to detail
- Must have good communication skills, including the ability to provide feedback to peers, and flexibility to work independently and with a team
- $17/hr+ based on experience
- 8 weeks paid Phlebotomy training
