Job Summary

Bayhealth is seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Technologist to join our team. As a Cardiovascular Technologist, you will play a critical role in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases. You will work closely with our team of healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the development of our cardiovascular services.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in preparing patients for procedures and assist the RN in setting up and preparing rooms for procedures.
  • Obtain hemostasis safely after procedures.
  • Utilize x-ray equipment accurately and independently.
  • Ensure radiation safety compliance during procedures.
  • Accurately monitor and document all procedures performed in the Cath Lab in the MacLab system.
  • Assist the Cath Lab team with procedure room turnover after every procedure following Infection Control protocol.
  • Enhance professional growth and development through participation in education, workshops, in-services, and current literature.
Requirements
  • Associate Degree Radiologic Sciences or Associates Degree/graduate from accredited program in Cardiovascular Technology.
  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist; Registered Technologist, Radiography; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support; Medical Radiologic Technologist; Basic Life Support -Within 90 days, if not already obtained.
  • Eighteen (18) months experience of diagnostic radiology or completion of accredited radiologic technology or Cardiovascular Technology program and letter of recommendation from Program Director and Clinical Site Preceptor from the graduating school.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor Degree Radiologic Technology or Bachelor's Degree/graduate from accredited program in Cardiovascular Technology.
  • Two (2) years' experience within the Cardiac Cath Lab, performing cardiac diagnostic, interventional, and electrophysiological procedures.
