Step Down Unit Nursing Opportunity

TotalMed seeks a highly skilled Registered Nurse to provide specialized care for patients transitioning from critical care in our Lancaster, California facility.

Compensation: $2,527.54 per week

About the Role

In this rewarding position, you will assess, monitor, and treat patients, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes. Your expertise will be essential in providing patient education on post-intensive care recovery, medication management, and self-care techniques.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality nursing care to patients transitioning from intensive care to general medical-surgical units.
  • Monitor and assess patients' vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and respiratory status.
  • Administer medications and perform procedures as needed, working closely with the healthcare team to facilitate patient progress.
  • Educate patients and families on post-intensive care recovery, medication management, and self-care techniques.
Requirements
  • Current RN license
  • BLS certification (other certifications as required by the facility)
  • Two years of recent experience in a Step Down setting
  • Strong communication and adaptability skills
