Job Title: CAD Designer

Vaco is seeking a skilled CAD Designer to join our team in Los Angeles. As a CAD Designer, you will play a crucial role in creating detailed 3D models, documents, and 2D drawings to support the full product development cycle.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop 3D models and 2D drawings using CAD software.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design accuracy and feasibility.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications and manufacturing instructions.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • Utilize knowledge of material properties to design parts and assemblies.
  • Design moving parts and complex assemblies, considering material and process tolerances.
  • Work with rapid prototyping and CNC manufacturing processes.
  • Manage and organize digital information and interface with data management systems.
  • Inspect physical parts against 3D models and generate deviation reports.
Requirements:
  • 4+ years of experience in CAD Design, 3D modeling, and 2D design.
  • Ability to work in an in-house manufacturing environment with a solid understanding of tooling and manufacturing processes.
  • Familiarity with CNC machining and programming, including toolpath creation and machine operations.
  • Experience working in smaller machine-shop settings, emphasizing precision and working under thin margins.
  • Relevant industry experience in aerospace, medical devices, and/or similar fields.

Compensation:
