Hospice Chaplain Lead

Job Summary:

The Affinity Care of Ohio organization is committed to delivering exceptional care to patients and families, with a focus on meeting their unique spiritual needs. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Hospice Chaplain Lead to join our team, providing leadership and guidance in spiritual care services.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Supervise and mentor spiritual care specialists, ensuring they provide high-quality spiritual care services to patients and families/caregivers.

2. Develop and implement policies and procedures related to spiritual care, in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.

3. Provide consultation and education to the interdisciplinary team on spiritual care practices and principles.

4. Collaborate with community chaplains and spiritual counselors to ensure seamless coordination of care.

5. Participate in quality assurance and program development initiatives, contributing to the improvement of spiritual care services.

6. Maintain accurate records of spiritual care services provided, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

7. Participate in on-call duties as defined by the organization's policy.

Requirements:

1. Master's degree in Theology or a related field, with a focus on clinical pastoral education (CPE) preferred.

2. Certification as a board-certified chaplain (BCC) or ordained minister, with ongoing commitment to professional development.

3. Experience working in hospice care, with a strong understanding of the philosophy of care and its application.

4. Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in an interfaith setting.

5. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Estimated Salary: $70,000 - $95,000 per year, depending on experience.
