Senior Environmental Expert Sought for Key Role

Erm seeks an experienced Principal Consultant - Environmental Impact Assessment with a proven track record in international consulting and technical expertise in the mining sector. The ideal candidate will have established relationships with mining companies and lead multi-media environmental and social impact assessments on large-scale projects.

This key role plays a crucial part in growing our business. As a senior leader, you will be accountable for successfully selling and consulting on environmental, social, and health impact assessment projects. You will collaborate with ERM's global technical team to share best practices across the industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic business/action plan, provide leadership, and deliver performance results to expand our capital project delivery service offerings and client base in the mining industry.
  • Contribute to business development of ERM's global capital project service area. Identify and develop new opportunities, prepare effective technical proposals, and take active leadership role in developing new business with new and existing clients.
  • Serve as senior resource for environmental and social impact assessment projects and related activities in support of ERM clients' capital projects (i.e., mining, diversified energy, power, electrical transmission, renewable energy projects).
  • Lead, manage performance, hire and retain, inspire and mentor personnel for overall success of the technical team.

Requirements:

  • BS/MS in environmental studies, planning, geography, civil or environmental engineering or related field; PE, PG, CEP, AICP or similar registration desired.
  • 8+ years of consulting experience with impact assessment and multi-media permitting, particularly on international projects.
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing successful business growth strategies in the energy industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain long-term relationships with clients, and book sales.

We offer a competitive annual salary of $115,000-$130,000. Benefits include paid time off, medical, dental, vision, 401(k), life & disability insurance to benefits eligible employees.
