Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Power Applications Developer to join our team. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing and maintaining Business Intelligence (BI) applications that support NSWG8 daily business operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Collaborate closely with the Knowledge Management Officer (KMO) and Business Process Specialists to ensure the development of SOCOM enterprise BI applications enhances business decision-making capabilities for the NSWG8 commandancy and aligns with current command process workflows.
  2. Provide engineering solutions to NSWG8 business problems using standard features and functions of enterprise software, including Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate, Microsoft Dynamics, SharePoint, and Power BI.
  3. Develop and document customized capabilities as directed by the Government using SharePoint Designer and/or Power Apps.
  4. Create and maintain developer user guides and other related development products in support of application development initiatives.
  5. Create processing workflows using SharePoint Designer and/or Power Automate to support portal-based tools and applications.
  6. Mentor and train KM Department personnel on the Microsoft Power Platform applications and features to support potential customer requirements.
  7. Identify, research, and resolve technical issues with NSWG8 claimancy BI solutions.
  8. Attend SOCOM and NSW Enterprise KM Developer meetings, telecons, and working groups to learn and share enterprise BI best practices.
  9. Work closely with the KMO and higher headquarters development teams to prepare for technology shifts ahead of new software deployment throughout the SOCOM enterprise.
  10. Utilize development environments to test new technologies' viability to meet NSWG8 requirements.
Requirements:
  • Possess extensive knowledge of service-level KM policies, governance, and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Experience with these issues within SOF is preferred.
  • Must possess working knowledge of SQL, SSRS, T-SQL, Excel Formulas, and DAX.
  • Must possess eight (8) years' experience as an applications developer with SharePoint or other applications such as Microsoft Dynamics and the Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Ability to operate an information technology system with common/standard business software programs.
  • Ability to develop BI applications on SOCOM systems at the appropriate classification level as required.
  • Must possess at least one IT professional certification, such as A, Sec, or Network.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Security Clearance:

Secret Clearance is required.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.

Onsite.
