Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Power Applications Developer to join our team. As a key member of our Business Intelligence team, you will be responsible for designing and maintaining Business Intelligence (BI) applications that support NSWG8 daily business operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate closely with the Knowledge Management Officer (KMO) and Business Process Specialists to ensure the development of SOCOM enterprise BI applications enhances business decision-making capabilities for the NSWG8 commandancy.
  • Provide engineering solutions to NSWG8 business problems using standard features and functions of enterprise software, including Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate, Microsoft Dynamics, SharePoint, and Power BI.
  • Develop and document customized capabilities as directed by the Government using SharePoint Designer and/or Power Apps.
  • Create and maintain developer user guides and other related development products in support of application development initiatives.
  • Mentor and train KM Department personnel on the Microsoft Power Platform applications and features to support potential customer requirements.
  • Identify, research, and resolve technical issues with NSWG8 claimancy BI solutions.
  • Attend SOCOM and NSW Enterprise KM Developer meetings, telecons, and working groups to learn and share enterprise BI best practices.
  • Work closely with the KMO and higher headquarters development teams to prepare for technology shifts ahead of new software deployment throughout the SOCOM enterprise.
  • Utilize development environments to test new technologies viability to meet NSWG8 requirements.
Requirements:
  • Possess extensive knowledge of service-level KM policies, governance, and digital transformation initiatives. Experience with these issues within SOF preferred.
  • Must possess working knowledge of SQL, SSRS, T-SQL, Excel Formulas, and DAX.
  • Must possess eight (8) years' experience as an applications developer with SharePoint or other applications such as Microsoft Dynamics and the Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Ability to operate an information technology system with common/standard business software programs.
  • Ability to develop BI applications on SOCOM systems at the appropriate classification level as required.
  • Must possess at least one IT professional certification, such as A+, Sec+, or Network+.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Security Clearance:
  • Secret Clearance is required.
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field.
Work Schedule:
  • Onsite.
