Position Overview

Solvarus Consulting is committed to addressing the most significant challenges faced by the Intelligence Community and the Department of Defense. As a member of our team, you will engage with seasoned engineers in the establishment and integration of a Digital Engineering framework designed to tackle these complex issues. Your role will involve close collaboration with various Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to architect and design solutions for Space and Ground operations utilizing advanced Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop engineering artifacts and create models of mission systems utilizing a suite of MBSE tools, including NoMagic Cameo EA, Rhapsody, and Sparx EA.
  • Establish appropriate data standards and structures, alongside the necessary COTS, GOTS, and Open-Source technologies to fulfill data management requirements.
  • Integrate enterprise tools and formulate MBSE-driven processes to enhance requirements engineering, architecture development, and system integration for new initiatives.
  • Facilitate effective communication between MBSE users and the tool development team to address modeling requirements and explore innovative solutions.
  • Offer technical insights and guidance to senior management on the development and implementation of novel MBSE methods and techniques.

Required Qualifications:

  • 0 to 5 years of experience with a BS/BA or 2 to 3 years with an MS/MA.
  • Possession of a current and active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or a related STEM field.
  • A willingness to learn and develop skills in industry-standard MBSE tools and methodologies for producing systems engineering models.
  • Basic understanding of UML/SysML modeling languages and their application in MBSE solutions.
  • Entry-level knowledge of architecture, requirements engineering, and system integration processes.
  • Strong communication abilities, particularly in liaising with tool developers and clients.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with DoDAF, UPDM, and/or UAF.
  • Certification as an Object Certified Systems Modeler Professional (OCSMP).
