We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Medical Assistant II to join our team at Halifax Health. This role provides basic medical care and health teaching to patients in an outpatient setting.

**Responsibilities:

  • Obtains accurate and pertinent information, documenting it appropriately.
  • Accurately assesses and documents patient vital signs, including weight, height, temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiratory rate, and pain levels.
  • Compiles and records patient medical history and current issues/concerns list.
  • Utilizes appropriate measures to care for all patients.
  • Triage patient situations via telephone and in person, obtaining necessary data and enacting follow-up action.
  • Assist with clerical duties, specimen handling and labeling, wound dressing and changing, and assisting with suture/staple removal/biopsies/I&D procedures.

**Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Graduate of an approved school or institution for Medical Assistants with current certification required.
