Aristocrat Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Technical Manager of Software Engineering to lead a team in developing a next-generation game development kit (GDK) for digital and real-money gaming.

The GDK is built on Typescript for desktop, mobile, and cloud deployments.

The Technical Manager will lead, mentor, and coach a team of developers to enhance and accelerate the way Aristocrat builds games.

The Technical Manager will partner with game studios to deliver an advanced GDK to be used by hundreds of game developers across Aristocrat's studios.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and present software designs and plans with stakeholders and senior developers.
  • Lead a team of developers fixing bugs in TypeScript/JavaScript/C#.
  • Implement and test gaming requirements for gaming platforms.
  • Review designs and code from internal and external software engineers for clarity, correctness, and efficiency.
  • Review and select appropriate technologies for new feature areas as they arise.
  • Perform analysis and provide technical recommendations for internal bugs and field issues.
  • Able to accurately estimate, meet deadlines, and provide deliverables on time.
  • Provide aid to QA and support personnel on a need basis to identify problems with games and platforms.
  • Collaborate with Software Architects, Product Managers, product developers, subject matter experts, and others on assigned modules.
  • Coordinate with teams in Austin, India, and other locations.
  • Good interpersonal skills and a strong team player.
  • Drive discussions towards conclusions.
  • Articulate and express ideas and issues without inhibitions.
  • Able to grasp functional aspects well (quickly and with minimal guidance).
  • Supervise agile planning, roadmaps, and bug reviews.
Requirements:
  • B.Tech./B.E./MCA/MTech. in CS/IT/ECE.
  • 5 years of experience leading a team of 5 or more.
  • 5 years of experience in designing, shipping, and maintaining server-based systems in Linux or Windows environments.
  • 8 years of experience with C#, TypeScript, JavaScript, C++, or other similar languages.
  • 10 years of experience in shipping software on desktop, mobile, or cloud platforms.
  • Solid experience working on complex systems or SDKs, ideally with multiple customers.

Pay Range

$136,155 - $252,860 per year

Our goal is to pay a market-competitive salary focusing near the median of our pay ranges.

However, final offers for all positions will be based on several factors such as experience level, education, skills, work location, and internal pay equity.
