As a Development Manager, you'll lead a cross-functional engineering team developing the next generation of Ping's SaaS products. You'll be involved in all phases of the application lifecycle, from requirements to delivery. You'll work with product management to determine product requirements and definitions. You'll also assist your team in responding quickly to unforeseen production issues. You'll report to a Director in the R&D Organization. You'll have experience hiring and leading outstanding engineers, leading Agile teams and planning processes, and managing development teams. Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development of new features
  • Manage recruitment, training, and building an accomplished software development team
  • Lead the forecasting, allocation, and management of capital and people investments
  • Work with product management to determine product requirements and definitions
  • Assist your team in responding quickly to unforeseen production issues
Requirements:
  • Experience hiring and leading outstanding engineers
  • Experience leading Agile teams and planning processes
  • CI/CD commercial cloud architecture and delivery experience
  • Minimum of 2 years experience leading Software as a Service teams and processes
  • Minimum of 5 years experience directly managing development teams, creating and delivering successful commercial products to the market
  • Experience coordinating across teams including product development, product management, and customer services for the requirements, development, test, and delivery of products
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field
