We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Physician Assistant Educator and Researcher to join our team as a Principal Faculty member in the Physician Assistant Program at Lincoln Memorial University. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching, research, and service in a dynamic and growing program.
Key Responsibilities- Teach and mentor students in the Physician Assistant Program, including didactic and clinical phases.
- Develop and implement curriculum, assessments, and evaluations to ensure student learning outcomes.
- Conduct research and scholarly activities in the field of physician assistant studies, with a focus on publication and presentation.
- Participate in program organization, management, evaluation, and planning, including accreditation and accreditation compliance.
- Collaborate with other faculty members and staff to promote a positive learning environment and student success.
- Engage in academic counseling, advising, and mentoring of students.
- Participate in program committees, including curriculum, admissions, and student progress committees.
- Develop and maintain knowledge in PA practice and other clinically relevant concepts through self-study, collaboration, and attendance at relevant conferences.
- Graduation from a regionally accredited institution with a master's degree in PA studies or a related medical field.
- Current NCCPA certification or other medically relevant certification.
- Current state licensure as a PA or other medically relevant field.
- Professional oral and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Possession of a doctoral degree in a medically related field.
- Full-time experience in higher education.
- Teaching experience in classroom and clinical settings.
- Evidence of potential for excellence in teaching and for scholarly activity.
