Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Architect to join our Civic Architecture team in Sacramento, California. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading complex projects from concept to completion, collaborating with clients and stakeholders, and driving business growth through strategic relationships and project wins.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and lead complex projects from positioning and proposal to successful delivery to the client.
  • Effectively lead and participate in winning work in interviews for potential projects.
  • Plan, organize, and direct the work throughout the life of the project, ensuring that the project design meets the client budget, schedule, program, and design intent.
  • Negotiate and develop project agreements alongside Stantec leadership.
  • Develop and manage project budget, schedule, and overall work plan to realize target financial performance.
  • Cultivate client relationships and provide strategic input to Stantec leadership.
  • Mentor multi-discipline staff and motivate project teams.
  • Lead project coordination and owner/site meetings with internal team members and/or external consultants, owner and contractor and sub-contractors.
  • Manage and track change orders, applications for payment by contractors and other contractual modifications impacting budget and schedule.
  • Work with Stantec Operations Manager in determining project staffing needs and recommending personnel.
  • Direct client invoicing and effectively manage collections.
Requirements
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in an architecture office.
  • Graduate of an accredited architectural school.
  • Must be licensed in California or attainable within one year.
  • LEED AP or LEED project experience preferred.
Work Environment

This is a typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
