Job Overview

The Class A CDL Driver is responsible for delivering and unloading products while ensuring safe and efficient transportation. This role requires excellent communication skills, a valid medical card, and a valid state-specific Commercial Driver's License.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver and unload products using equipment such as tractor trailers, ramps, and pallet jacks.
  • Operate vehicles safely within UNFI guidelines, minimizing accidents and traffic violations.
  • Report any accidents or incidents to the Transportation Manager.
  • Keep vehicles well-maintained, safe, and secure.
  • Pick up supplies and back hauls from vendors while completing related paperwork.
  • Address and resolve customer problems as appropriate.
Requirements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Valid medical card and a valid state-specific Commercial Driver's License.
  • Ability to pass a written exam and road test.
  • Basic knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) law and mandates.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • One year of Class A CDL driving experience.
