Job Description

At Ryder System Inc., we are seeking a skilled Truck Driver CDL Regional Class A to join our team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for safely operating a tractor-trailer combination to transport goods over long distances.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations, as well as company policies and procedures
  • Loading and unloading freight, as well as assisting with the loading and unloading of freight as required by customers
  • Maintaining accurate records and logs, including hours of service, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance
  • Performing pre- and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition
  • Communicating effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery of goods

Requirements:

  • Class A CDL with endorsements for hazardous materials and double/triple trailers
  • At least 9 months of experience in a tractor-trailer or comparable vehicle within the past 3 years, or 2 years of experience within the past 5 years, or 5 years of experience within the past 10 years
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
