Job Title: Piano Accompanist

We are seeking a skilled Piano Accompanist to join our team at Kansas City, Kansas Public Schools. The successful candidate will provide musical support to our high school choral music program, working closely with the high school choral director.

Responsibilities:
  • Accompany choral rehearsals and performances with piano
  • Master musical scores in a timely manner
  • Provide leadership in sectional rehearsals when required
  • Assist in the preparation of solos and ensembles
  • Provide clerical support to the music department as needed
  • Assist at assigned middle schools
  • Cover occasional concerts as assigned by the Fine Arts Coordinator
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in music or related field
  • Successful experience working in a school or with children
  • Excellent keyboard skills and music sight-reading abilities
  • Ability to work effectively with music students and staff
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Working Conditions:

The Piano Accompanist will work in a fast-paced educational environment, interacting with students, staff, and parents. The position requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team setting.
