Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Telemetry Nurse to join our team at Buffalo General Medical Center. As a Telemetry Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing and treating patients with various medical conditions, providing high-quality patient care, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patients' physical and emotional needs, developing individualized care plans to meet their unique requirements.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and other interventions as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs, lab results, and other data to identify potential complications and take prompt action to prevent adverse outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination and patient satisfaction.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices that enhance patient care and outcomes.
Requirements
  • Current NYS registration as a Registered Professional Nurse (RPN) or equivalent.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 6 months of hire and maintained thereafter.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on patient-centered care and teamwork.
