Position Overview

Top Guard Security is in search of dedicated individuals to fulfill the role of Armed Security Roving Officer. This position entails conducting vigilant patrols to ensure the safety and security of client properties and personnel.

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidates will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining a professional demeanor while delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Exhibiting strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
  • Making informed decisions in various situations and notifying the appropriate personnel as necessary.
  • Upholding a positive attitude while performing duties.

Essential Duties

In this role, you will:

  • Monitor the assigned client's facilities and property.
  • Adhere to Top Guard's policies and the specific requirements set by the client.
  • Document incidents and observations using provided electronic devices or paper.
  • Communicate effectively with the client's designated contact and Top Guard management.

Training and Qualifications

We provide training to help you obtain the Virginia DCJS Registration Card. Ideal candidates will possess:

  • Relevant experience in law enforcement, security, or military service (1 year or more preferred for certain contracts).
  • The ability to conduct thorough vehicle and foot patrols to identify any damage or criminal activity.
  • A commitment to maintaining high visibility and consistent standards for facility access.
  • The capability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background checks.
  • The physical ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods, endure various weather conditions, and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Clear and audible communication skills for effective interaction with authorities.
  • A valid Virginia Driver's License and compliance with Top Guard's driving standards.
  • The ability to obtain armed DCJS Certification.
  • Availability for night and weekend shifts.
