Chief of Psychology Opportunity

The Harvard Medical School Department of Psychiatry at Cambridge Health Alliance is seeking a visionary leader to serve as the Chief of Psychology. This esteemed position plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of psychology services and advancing the department's mission to address healthcare disparities and meet the mental health needs of diverse communities.

About the Role:

  • Lead the Division of Psychology, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation in clinical care, research, and training.
  • Collaborate with department leaders to develop and implement strategies to address healthcare disparities and improve mental health outcomes.
  • Support psychology staff working in various settings, including inpatient and outpatient services, specialty teams, and schools.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of intern and postdoctoral training programs, ensuring the next generation of practitioner-scientists is equipped to excel in academic, public, and community settings.
  • Pursue community-based research opportunities, leveraging collaborations with the renowned Health Equities Research Laboratory.

Requirements:

  • Outstanding academic, clinical, administrative, and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrable record of scholarship in education or federally funded research.
  • Ability to balance clinical work and teaching responsibilities.
  • Eligibility for a faculty appointment at Harvard Medical School, with the level of appointment dependent on credentials and experience.
