Senior Engineer - Electric Machines

At Pedagog Recruiting & Careers, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer to join our Electric Machines team. This position will be responsible for researching, designing, developing, and documenting complex motors, components, and accessories.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and develop new DC, AC induction, or AC synchronous motors/generators for various applications.
  • Provide expert engineering advice, mentoring, and technical assistance to other team members.
  • Manage new and existing projects to completion.
  • Create motor test performance requirements to provide design intent.
  • Gather customer goals and objectives and develop engineering solutions to meet their needs.
  • Provide technical review and approval of all customer designs.
  • Develop documentation necessary to design, manufacture, install, and commission engineered products.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with 15 years of relatable experience.
  • Ability to successfully analyze electric motor design calculations and use ANSYS Motor CAD software, Finite Element Analysis (FEA), Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), as well as other tools in the analyses.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Knowledge of material strengths, fatigue strengths, and manufacturability to ensure that the right configuration and materials are developed.
