Job Summary:

The Automation Field Service Engineer is responsible for the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of automated equipment. This role plays a critical part in the successful implementation and integration of automated systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure a safe working environment by monitoring and applying safety standards.
  • Provide in-house support for the setup, commissioning, and testing of automated equipment.
  • Offer field support for equipment service, installation, startup, and training.
  • Provide mechanical and electrical support, including assembly, disassembly, and rebuild of automated systems.
  • Support Electrical and Mechanical Engineering teams as needed.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
  • Motivated and self-starting, with a willingness to learn new skills.
  • Personable and able to effectively interact with corporate engineers and plant personnel.
  • Prior experience in field service, automated equipment, or electrical controls.
  • Working knowledge of AC and DC electrical circuitry, mechanical systems, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and machine control systems.
  • Reasoning, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work well in a goal-oriented team environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with AutoCAD or other design software.
  • Working knowledge of machine vision systems.
  • Experience with various programming languages.
