About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Studio Photographer to join our Creative team at MeUndies. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for capturing high-quality product images that showcase our brand's aesthetic and style.

Key Responsibilities
  • Shoot product images on a model, mannequin, and lay flats, as well as hanging apparel photography and other requests as needed.
  • Recommend, source, acquire, and maintain photography equipment for the creative studio.
  • Work closely with the Production team and Creative Director to build and maintain the photo studio.
  • Spearhead technical photography strategies and recommendations.
  • Photograph using natural and studio lighting, utilizing tethered shooting, on sticks, and hand-held.
  • Find the best execution to capture a model's angles and product design, while matching the MeUndies brand aesthetic.
  • Responsible for staging and lighting sets, as well as photographing.
  • Understand basic retouching processes to collaborate with producers and retouchers.
  • Partner with producers and designers on the creative team for all stages of production, styling, and art direction.
  • Work with producers and the e-commerce photo team to establish and maintain an efficient workflow.
  • Collaborate with the Creative team on ongoing creative projects.
Requirements
  • LA-based candidates only (or ability to relocate), as this position requires in-office work five days a week.
  • Online portfolio required; please familiarize yourself with our web and brand photography.
  • Expertise and comprehensive knowledge of photography and lighting for high-level and hands-on ecom and product-focused production.
  • Love of photography and interacting with models and crew daily.
  • Unwavering ability to be self-sufficient in managing the timing of the day and ensuring everything is shot to our standards and within the timeframe allotted.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and experience working directly with talent.
  • Confidence and skill in directing talent on camera.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle several projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment while adhering to shifting deadlines.
  • Extensive experience leading a photo team on a photoshoot while also possessing the skillset and mindset to work independently.
