Job Description

Merck Sharp & Dohme (MSD) is seeking a highly skilled professional to lead our Global Market Access team for Vaccines. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to ensure broad and sustainable access to our vaccines across the world.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and advance strategies to support broad and sustainable access to vaccines across the world.
  • Collaborate with global and regional vaccine access teams to prepare for external competitive and environmental pressures.
  • Bring a strong payer perspective into relevant governance forums to optimize the relevance of new data and its impact on reimbursement and access in major markets.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders such as Medical Research and Development, policy, global pricing, and regional access teams to ensure excellence in reimbursement readiness and execution across the vaccine portfolio.
  • Lead a One Team approach across Global Market Access to implement global access plans for new launches and life-cycle management of mature vaccines.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 15+ combined access, commercial, marketing support, payer, HEOR, or related experiences in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industries.
  • In-depth understanding of healthcare market dynamics, particularly in the field of vaccines.
  • Demonstrated understanding of healthcare trends, reimbursement systems, and policy issues impacting the vaccine industry.
  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills.
  • Proven leadership and management experience, leading large cross-functional teams.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.
  • Strategic thinking and ability to analyze complex data to create patient and customer-centric strategies.
  • Track record of driving business results.
  • Ability to challenge the status quo and drive initiatives with a win as one team mindset.
