As a Staff Firmware Engineer in our Structural Heart Business, you will provide technical leadership within a vibrant and high-performing R&D team that is redefining the treatment of structural heart disease.

The incumbent will primarily lead firmware development involving Bluetooth, NFC and message handling of a critical subsystem, including cybersecurity hardening, test method development, software documentation, and other workstreams as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Lead firmware development involving Bluetooth, NFC and message handling of a critical subsystem
  • Develop and implement cybersecurity hardening and test methods
  • Author and manage software requirements
  • Develop detailed software documentation
  • Work cross-functionally to address areas of ambiguity
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or similar
  • Minimum 8 years of software development experience
  • Track record of consistent delivery of working software
  • Coding experience in C, C++, C#, etc.
  • Experience in software development involving BLE/NFC stacks
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree such as Master's or PhD Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or similar
  • Experience with Nordic nRFConnect SDK and RTOS
  • Experience with Laird BLE/NFC family of microprocessors
