LPN Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at American House Senior Living Communities. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, promoting their independence and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer medication and provide assistance to residents in accordance with state regulations and company policy.
  • Maintain accurate medication counts and ensure the security of the medication cart and storage room.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures related to controlled substances, narcotic count, and documentation.
  • Use sound nursing judgment to evaluate changes in resident situations and report to the Wellness Director and/or physician when appropriate.
  • Assist with vital signs and weight monitoring, and complete all required documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with the American House philosophy and all written policies and procedures that govern the operation of the Resident Services Department.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of nursing experience, preferably in long-term care or geriatrics.
  • Up-to-date first aid and CPR certification.
  • Current Unencumbered LPN license in the state.
  • Knowledge of the physiology and psychology of older adults.
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends.
