District Wide Cafeteria Staff Member

As a district-wide cafeteria worker for Meriden Public Schools, you will play a vital role in the preparation and serving of meals to students across the district. This position requires flexibility and the ability to work at various schools within the district.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in the preparation and serving of meals
• Clean and sanitize work stations
• Operate a cash register and handle cash transactions
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment
• Perform other duties as assigned by the cafeteria manager
Requirements:
• Ability to lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds
• Availability to work between 5:45 am and 2:30 pm, Monday - Friday
• Ability to drive a utility van if necessary
• Basic computer skills
• Knowledge of food techniques and ability to follow instructions
Preferred Qualifications:
• Recent experience in food preparation and service
