Job Summary

The Coder Sr. Account Manager plays a critical role in the Corporate Coding Team, responsible for reviewing denials and appeals related to coding issues. This senior-level position requires expertise in revenue cycle management, CMS guidelines, and managed care contracts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review daily Epic work queues and report on inpatient and outpatient account trends
  • Predict fluctuations in accounts receivable for both inpatient and outpatient accounts
  • Perform coding, DRG assignment, and collection of predefined indicators
  • Abstract medical records and review SMART accounts on a daily basis
Requirements
  • 5 years of coding experience in inpatient settings or 5 years of clinical experience in related areas with diagnosis-related group analysis
  • Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management or Associate's degree in Health Information Management or Nursing, or equivalent experience
  • Registered Health Information Administrator, Registered Nurse, or Registered Health Information Technician certification
Work Schedule

Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, with occasional weekend requirements as needed.
