We are in search of an experienced engineering leader to oversee critical segments within our Infrastructure Engineering organization. As a leader in engineering, you will collaborate closely with your team, designers, product managers, and fellow engineering leaders to develop and deliver products and features that align with our mission of enhancing collaboration for teams and users.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead essential areas of the Infrastructure Engineering organization, crafting the roadmap and technical strategy.
  • Collaborate with Engineering Teams to establish a robust infrastructure foundation that supports an exceptional collaboration experience.
  • Foster a healthy, scalable, inclusive, and growth-oriented engineering organization, contributing not only to the Server Platform but also to Infrastructure and Figma Engineering.
  • Build trust within and across teams by promoting accountability and a positive work environment in partnership with other organizational leaders.
Qualifications:
  • Over 5 years of experience in developing and managing large-scale distributed systems.
  • More than 5 years of experience in managing individual contributors and engineering managers.
  • A proven ability to work across team boundaries to achieve objectives, with a customer-centric mindset that facilitates effective collaboration with cross-functional peers.
  • Engagement in technical and production details, with enthusiasm for promoting good production practices within the organization.
  • Expertise in supporting, recruiting, and nurturing senior individual contributors and managers.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in one or more of the following domains: Databases, Server Platform, Platform Services, Developer Experience.
  • A commitment to fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace culture.
  • A strong dedication to engineering excellence.
  • A keen interest in understanding the needs of internal client teams and aligning the roadmap to maximize business impact.
