Birmingham Green is seeking a skilled Nursing Supervisor to join our team. As a Nursing Supervisor, you will be responsible for the direct supervision of nursing care, ensuring that residents receive the care that has been identified to meet their health care needs.
Responsibilities:- Direct supervision of nursing care
- Ensure that residents receive the care that has been identified to meet their health care needs
- Ensure that policies and procedures of the nursing department are followed by nursing staff
- Person in charge of the entire facility in the absence of senior management staff
- Current unencumbered RN license
- CPR certification
- Five years of experience in a long-term care facility
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge and experience related to the physical, mental, and emotional needs of the elderly
- Knowledge of the laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care
- Knowledge of current nursing techniques, federal and state nursing home regulations, and experience in regulatory surveys, resident assessments, and recertification
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and other computer skills
- One year of supervisory experience
