Clinical Psychologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team at the Department of the Army. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will provide clinical supervision, guidance, and oversight to a behavioral health clinical team consisting of multiple providers at separate locations.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical supervision, guidance, and oversight to a behavioral health clinical team.
- Serve as the unit's suicide prevention liaison to higher headquarters, working with unit providers to implement and maintain sound suicide prevention programs and practices.
- Develop and improve assessment methodologies for psychologists and other evaluators.
- Advise commanders and other leaders on psychological factors associated with stressful training.
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a broad range of psychological and emotional problems.
- Conduct psychological evaluations as part of the unit's hiring process.
- Serve as a psychological subject matter expert and consultant to senior military leaders.
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Two-year trial/probationary period may be required.
- Must pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- Possess or be able to obtain and meet requirements of a TS/SCI security clearance based on an SBI.
- Must pass the organization's Personnel Reliability Program, which includes a credit check, drug screening, polygraph, and psychological evaluation.
- Must hold a current state license to practice clinical psychology.
- Meet service requirements for independent practice and maintain current credentials with a sanctioned DOD medical authority.
- Possess demonstrated public speaking skills.
- A professional background that includes operational psychology experience.
To qualify for this position, you must meet the basic requirement of a doctoral degree in clinical psychology and have at least one year of experience providing clinical and organization/administrative supervision, psychological counseling, training, assessments, and developing programs to improve the organization.
You will be evaluated on your level of competency in the following areas: Communications, Interpersonal Skills, Psychology, Therapy and Counseling, and Education.
