Clinical Psychologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team at the Department of the Army. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will be responsible for providing clinical supervision, guidance, and oversight to a behavioral health clinical team. You will also serve as the unit's suicide prevention liaison, working with unit providers to implement and maintain sound suicide prevention programs and practices.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical supervision, guidance, and oversight to a behavioral health clinical team
- Develop and improve assessment methodologies for psychologists and other evaluators
- Advise commanders and other leaders on psychological factors associated with stressful training
- Conduct psychological evaluations as part of the unit's hiring process
- Apply psychological principles to highly complex problems
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination
- Two-year trial/probationary period may be required
- Possess or be able to obtain a TS/SCI security clearance
- Meet service requirements for independent practice and maintain current credentials with a sanctioned DOD medical authority
- Hold a current state license to practice clinical psychology
To qualify for this position, you must have a doctoral degree in clinical psychology and at least one year of experience in providing clinical and organization/administrative supervision, psychological counseling, training, assessments, and developing programs to improve the organization.
You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Communications, Interpersonal Skills, Psychology, Therapy and Counseling, and Education.
Foreign education must be evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program.
Direct Deposit of Pay is required. Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance.
