Responsibilities- Provide activities of daily living assistance to residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Administer medication reminders and assist with medication management.
- Ensure resident safety and well-being by monitoring their condition and reporting any changes to the supervisor.
- Assist residents with personal care tasks, such as toileting and incontinence care.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, promoting a positive and engaging living environment.
- Collaborate with the care team to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each resident.
- Participate in ongoing training and education to enhance your skills and knowledge in resident care.
- Certification as a nursing assistant or completion of a certified home health aide or homemaker/personal care homemaker training program.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; one to three months of related experience and/or training preferred.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively with residents, families, and colleagues.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Ability to work varied schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
The Resident Care Assistant will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, providing care and support to residents in a variety of settings, including private apartments and community areas. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on resident-centered care and customer service.
