Job Summary: PSG Global Solutions Careers is seeking a highly skilled HEDIS Medical Coding Specialist to join our team. This role involves reviewing medical records, abstracting clinical data, and assigning medical codes for HEDIS reporting in the Insurance industry in South Carolina.

About the Role:

  • Review medical records to abstract clinical data for HEDIS reporting purposes.
  • Apply knowledge of medical coding subject areas to assign accurate medical codes.
  • Utilize medical coding software programs or reference materials to ensure correct code assignments.
  • Stay up-to-date with NCQA HEDIS technical specifications and guidelines to maintain compliance.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure timely and accurate completion of medical record collections, reviews, and abstractions.

Requirements:

  • High school education or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in medical coding and/or quality improvement.
  • Active CPC, CRC, RHIT, RHIA Coding Certification (AAPC) or CCS Certification (AHIMA).

Estimated Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000 per year.
