Job Summary

Goldfish Swim School - Clifton Park is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deck Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our aquatic operations team, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our pool facilities and providing exceptional customer service to our students and parents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision: Provide guidance, support, and constructive feedback to instructors and deck teachers to ensure the delivery of our high-quality swim programs.
  • Shift Preparation: Conduct daily pre-shift meetings and prepare the deck for each shift to ensure a safe and efficient operation.
  • Evaluation and Feedback: Conduct regular evaluations of instructors and deck teachers to identify areas for improvement and provide constructive feedback.
  • Customer Service: Interact with parents and guardians to discuss student progress and provide exceptional customer service to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Logistics and Maintenance: Complete daily deck supervisor logs, monitor attendance, and coordinate tasks to ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of our pool facilities.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other deck supervisors to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective action through in-services or other training.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
  • Experience: Two or more years of experience as a swim instructor or in a related field required; experience as a youth sports instructor, coach, camp counselor, or teacher preferred.
  • Certifications: Lifeguard and CPR/First Aid certifications required.
