Your Role as a PMC X-Ray Tech

As a Radiologic Technologist (X-Ray Tech), you will perform radiologic procedures as ordered by physicians. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing patients for radiologic procedures
  • Taking x-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety
  • Maintaining required educational hours to meet licensing requirements
  • Following radiation protection guidelines and utilizing appropriate shielding devices
  • Ensuring equipment is in good working order and reporting equipment malfunction to management
  • Performing various clerical duties, including filing x-ray reports and maintaining accurate log journals
  • Maintaining and stocking procedure rooms
  • Ordering supplies as needed
  • Abiding by OSHA guidelines
  • Maintaining patient and practice confidentiality
  • Maintaining a professional demeanor at all times with patients, caregivers, physicians, and coworkers

Required Qualifications

We require an Associate's degree in Applied Science or a similar field, completion of an approved Radiologic Technology course by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, and current certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience with data entry operations, a detailed-oriented approach with a strong financial emphasis, medical office experience, and insurance processing experience are highly desired.
