Capital Area Research is seeking a dedicated laboratory technician/clinical research associate to support daily operations in clinical studies. This role is ideal for individuals aiming to gain research experience as a precursor to further education or advancement in the medical field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting blood sample processing, as well as the storage and shipment of biological specimens.
- Preparing essential documents and laboratory kits in advance of patient study sessions.
- Ensuring proper accounting and acknowledgment of Investigational Product upon receipt.
- Maintaining an organized inventory of study materials and managing supply reorders.
- Keeping accurate records and documentation.
- Performing data entry tasks.
- Assisting the Research Coordinator with vital signs monitoring, blood draws, and EKGs.
- Staying current with training requirements.
- Adhering to Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in laboratory technology, biology, healthcare, or a related discipline.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work autonomously and demonstrate initiative.
- Proficient computer skills.
Compensation: Salary is negotiable.
