Job Title: EHS Specialist

AZZ Inc. is seeking a highly skilled EHS Specialist to join our team at our Goodyear Arizona plant. As a key member of our safety team, you will be responsible for implementing and enforcing plant safety protocols while providing exceptional support to internal and external customers.

Job Summary

The EHS Specialist will have a 50/50 split between plant presence and office work. Key responsibilities include coordinating and conducting employee training, ensuring compliance with regulatory agencies, and collaborating with plant employees to share best safety practices.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and conduct employee training requirements and ensure compliance with regulatory agencies, job site safety plans, and company policies.
  • Collaborate with plant employees to share best safety practices, provide guidance, inspect, or recommend equipment, provide alerts, and foster safe working practices to minimize risks.
  • Emphasize a "safety first" attitude and complete and review injury reports, assist with investigations, and provide insight to plant leadership.
  • Test workplaces for environmental hazards, such as exposure to radiation, chemical or biological hazards, or excessive noise.
Requirements
  • Field experience in a similar role preferred, but not required. 1-2 years manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite required.
  • Excellent written and oral communication for both internal and external engagement.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish highly preferred.
  • Must be able to work on-site. Flexible hours: M – F 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, must have availability to be on-call.
Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
