Job Details
We are in search of a skilled and experienced Superintendent to join our team in the multifamily construction sector. This role presents an exciting opportunity to manage a variety of construction projects. The ideal candidate will possess a solid history of completing projects on time and within budget, coupled with a steadfast commitment to quality and safety. A minimum of 3+ years of experience in a similar role is required.
Responsibilities:
As a Superintendent, you will oversee all facets of our construction projects, from initial planning to final completion. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Supervising all construction operations and ensuring compliance with project plans and specifications.
2. Coordinating and managing subcontractors, suppliers, and workforce to optimize resource utilization.
3. Ensuring adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations during all construction activities.
4. Conducting regular site inspections to assess progress and quality of work, taking corrective actions as needed.
5. Communicating with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth interactions and prompt issue resolution.
6. Preparing and maintaining project schedules, budgets, and progress reports, recommending improvements where applicable.
7. Identifying and implementing cost-saving measures and efficiency enhancements.
8. Managing changes to the scope of work, ensuring proper documentation and approvals.
Qualifications:
To qualify for this position, candidates should possess the following:
1. A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Superintendent in the construction industry, particularly in hardscape, concrete, multifamily, commercial, and slab projects.
2. Proven track record in managing large-scale construction projects from inception to completion.
3. In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
4. Strong leadership and team management abilities, capable of motivating and managing a diverse workforce.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the capacity to make sound decisions under pressure.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, facilitating effective liaison with various stakeholders.
7. Proficiency in construction management software and other relevant IT tools.
8. A degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is advantageous.
