Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze mission requirements to develop optimal navigation system architectures across various platforms.
- Lead the navigation and estimation community, fostering collaboration and innovation.
- Drive the strategic roadmap for navigation solutions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Evaluate and integrate advanced navigation aiding sources to enhance system performance.
- Design, develop, and rigorously test inertial navigation systems (INS) for diverse aerospace applications including unmanned aerial systems (UAS) and spacecraft.
- Create algorithms for navigation, guidance, and control systems, employing advanced estimation techniques such as extended Kalman filters.
- Develop sophisticated sensor fusion algorithms that leverage multiple data sources for precise navigation in challenging environments.
- Apply covariance analysis to optimize navigation performance and assess system uncertainties.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of navigation solutions into flight systems.
- Conduct comprehensive simulations and testing to validate navigation algorithms and system performance.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in Guidance, Navigation, and Control engineering or a closely related field.
- In-depth knowledge of navigation principles, including inertial navigation and GPS technologies.
- Proven experience in the design and testing of navigation systems for aerospace applications.
- Strong proficiency in Kalman filtering and other estimation methodologies.
- Familiarity with real-time systems and embedded software development is advantageous.
- Demonstrated expertise in covariance analysis and transfer alignment techniques.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with autonomous vehicle navigation systems.
- Current eligibility for Top Secret clearance is preferred.
