About the Role: Our client, a prominent provider of innovative audio-visual solutions, is in search of a proficient Audio-Visual Technician III to enhance their workforce. This mid-level field role is ideal for a technician eager to oversee small to medium-scale AV projects, guaranteeing superior installations and timely project delivery. This position presents a remarkable opportunity for growth within the audio-visual sector by assuming increased responsibilities under the guidance of a Field Operations Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily activities of small to medium-sized AV projects, ensuring efficient task completion and adherence to high standards.
- Supervise and mentor a team of 1-3 technicians, emphasizing optimal installation techniques.
- Conduct daily safety evaluations and ensure adherence to safety regulations.
- Engage in project discussions, liaise with contractors, and communicate progress to the designated manager.
- Manage material logistics, including distribution, installation, and return of surplus materials.
- Execute advanced AV functions such as configuring and calibrating video conferencing systems, audio devices, and video scalers.
- Diagnose and set up DSP processors and AV control systems (e.g., Crestron, Extron, AMX).
Required Skills & Experience:
- At least 4 years of experience in the audio-visual industry.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to best installation practices.
- Capability to effectively lead and train a team.
- Expertise in AV troubleshooting methods and familiarity with industry standards (AVIXA).
- Knowledge of RS232 control, IR control, sound dispersion, microphone pick-up patterns, and networking fundamentals.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Current Boom/Scissor Lift Certification.
- Completion of Technician Level 1 criteria.
- CTS Certification (preferred).
- Valid Driver's License (required).
