Job Description

Fusion Audio Video is seeking a highly skilled Senior Residential AV Technician to join our team. As a key member of our Residential AV team, you will be responsible for installing, programming, and commissioning Residential AV systems, as well as leading and mentoring less experienced technicians.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide daily project status updates to the Project Manager
  • Maintain accurate project documentation
  • Conduct site walkthroughs with Project Management, Sales, and Clients
  • Perform quality control checks using the Job Form
  • Apply project management principles to successfully execute AV projects on-time and within budget
  • Exhibit professionalism and provide excellent customer service
  • Act as a resource for Residential AV technical knowledge
  • Complete complex, multi-room AV installs, setups, and calibration
  • Install and configure control systems and theater rooms
  • Set up satellite and cable systems
  • Advanced troubleshooting of simple and complex systems
  • Install and configure advanced networking and data systems
  • Program automation, lighting, shading, surveillance, and security systems
  • Design, populate, and wire full-sized equipment racks
  • Coach, lead, train, and mentor less experienced technicians
  • Complete required training and certifications; maintain certification levels for all position requirements
  • Adhere to and maintain Fusion quality standards
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years AV field experience
  • High school diploma or GED
  • PCNA Certification (or comparable)
  • Control4 Automation Programmer Certification
  • Lutron RA3 Certification
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Detail-oriented and organized; multi-tasker
  • Self-motivated, task-driven, and able to apply 'best practices' theory
  • Strong problem-solving skills; creates in-field solutions
  • Ability to work 4/10 schedule
  • Ability to work overtime as needed
  • Ability to travel overnight for training and installations as needed
  • Maintains valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record
  • Proficiency using hand and power tools
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work on ladders, lifts, and at high elevations
