Apprentice Instrument Craftsman

Bausch + Lomb, a leading global eye health company, is seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as an Apprentice Instrument Craftsman. In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop into a world-class instrument craftsman, learning from the best and brightest in the industry.

As an Apprentice Instrument Craftsman, you will be responsible for creating high-quality surgical instruments using a variety of techniques, including filing, bending, braze, stamping, grinding, and polishing. You will work closely with experienced craftsmen to hone your skills and learn new techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

• File, bend, braze, stamp, grind, and polish to create high-quality surgical instruments.
• Work closely with experienced craftsmen to learn new techniques and improve your skills.
• Meet productivity and quality standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Hand metal working experience.
• Ability to visualize shapes and follow verbal and written manufacturing procedures.
• At least 6 months of previous experience from other shops that provide surgical instruments required.
