Experienced Surgical Instrument Fabricator - 1st Shift

Objective:

  • Finalizing the production of hand-held surgical instruments

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in continuous skill development, including filing, bending, brazing, and various manufacturing techniques
  • Execute precision metalworking tasks such as belting, grinding, polishing, and drilling
  • Utilize measurement tools like micrometers and calipers
  • Interpret blueprints and technical schematics
  • Ensure finished hand-held instruments meet or surpass quality benchmarks for form, fit, function, and finish
  • Collaborate effectively with Quality, Machining, Planning, Engineering, and Packaging teams

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of an Apprentice program or equivalent experience may be considered
  • At least 5 years of experience in instrument manufacturing (preferably surgical instruments)
  • Experience in hand metalworking
  • Ability to visualize shapes accurately
  • Assessment will be required
  • Proficient in following verbal and written manufacturing protocols
  • Previous experience from other establishments producing surgical instruments is preferred
  • Exceptional manual dexterity
