Responsibilities
  • Assist surgeons and other medical staff during surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile environment and handling instruments and equipment as needed.
  • Prepare operating rooms, equipment, and supplies for procedures, ensuring that all necessary items are available and in good working order.
  • Monitor and maintain aseptic technique, adhering to hospital policies and procedures to prevent infection and ensure patient safety.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to troubleshoot any issues that may arise during procedures, providing solutions and support as needed.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest surgical techniques and technologies.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist, with a strong background in trauma surgery.
  • Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or Certified Surgical Assistant (CSA) preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with surgeons, nurses, and other medical staff.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including nights and weekends, as needed.
