At Wooster Community Hospital, we're seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Manager to join our team as a Network Systems Professional. This is a full-time exempt position with on-premises work requirements.
Job SummaryWe're looking for a skilled and motivated individual to lead our network infrastructure, telecommunication systems, and server administration. As a Network Systems Professional, you'll be responsible for planning, administering, and evaluating the operation of our LAN and WAN infrastructure, servers, and hospital telecommunication systems.
Key Responsibilities- Network Infrastructure Management
- Design and maintain our local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN)
- Monitor and optimize network performance, security, and uptime
- Telecommunication Systems Administration
- Manage our telecommunication systems, including PBX and IP telephony systems
- Maintain and improve system performance, security, and compliance
- Server Administration
- Administer and support our server infrastructure, including Windows and other operating systems
- Maintain and upgrade server hardware and software as needed
- Help Desk Support
- Provide level 3 support for network and server-related issues
- Assist with emergency support and on-call rotations
- Collaboration and Communication
- Work closely with IT teams, departments, and stakeholders to resolve technical issues and improve services
- Communicate effectively with customers, staff, and vendors
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in network administration, preferably in a healthcare environment
- Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) or higher, or obtain within 1 year
- Strong knowledge of shared network resources, internet access, servers, virtualization, and domain administration
- Experience with WAN systems, transmission methodology, and wireless networking
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
We also welcome candidates with:
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or equivalent certification and experience
- Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) or Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE)
- Experience with Cisco Unified Call Manager (CUCM), Meditech system management, and HIPAA security rule compliance
This is a full-time exempt position, working Monday through Friday, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week, with rotating on-call responsibilities.
Salary and BenefitsThe estimated salary range for this position is $85,000-$110,000 per annum, based on industry standards and location.
