We are committed to delivering high-quality care and support to our clients, and we are seeking a skilled Food Service Worker II to join our team.


Job Summary:

The Food Service Worker II is responsible for preparing, portioning, and serving food for regular and therapeutic diets in the Central Kitchen and/or at a satellite kitchen/serving area. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and serve food for regular and therapeutic diets in accordance with federal, state, and HACCP guidelines.
  • Sanitize equipment, work areas, dishes, utensils, pots, and pans to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Train and oversee other Food Service workers to ensure a knowledgeable and skilled team.
  • Maintain accurate records and complete required paperwork in a timely and correct manner.
  • Participate in the distribution of food in a safe and sanitary manner according to food service policies.
  • Follow proper food handling procedures and practices to ensure the quality and safety of food served.
  • Assist in the preparation and portioning of food for special diets following food service procedures.
  • Prepare scheduled snacks and supplements, and maintain a sufficient supply of snack items.
  • Drive state vehicle to deliver food to homes, as required.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to lift minimum of 25 pounds.
  • Ability to bend and reach, stand/walk on hard floors for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to work in hot and/or cold conditions.
  • Ability to smell, taste, and see.
  • Ability to work harmoniously and productively with co-workers and residents.

Working Conditions:

The Food Service Worker II will work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, with frequent exposure to heat, cold, and noise. The role requires standing, walking, and bending for extended periods of time, as well as lifting and carrying heavy objects.
