As a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer at Celona, Inc., you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our innovative enterprise 5G LAN solutions. We are looking for a dedicated Senior QA Engineer who will uphold both internal and customer quality standards. The ideal candidate will demonstrate initiative, adaptability, and strong problem-solving skills, along with a comprehensive understanding of QA methodologies. Experience in networking and wireless technologies will be highly advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement test plans based on product specifications, requirements, and customer scenarios.
- Conduct feature, system, scalability, and performance testing on Celona's products.
- Generate detailed bug reports that outline the conditions under which issues arise, the resulting behaviors, and their impact on end users.
- Establish complex testing environments involving various operating systems, hypervisors, routers, firewalls, and 4G/5G RAN components to simulate customer scenarios.
- Participate in troubleshooting customer issues and proactively seek opportunities to improve test coverage.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Over 5 years of experience in quality assurance methodologies, particularly in enterprise and carrier-grade wireless technologies.
- Experience in testing products related to:
- Data networking protocols and technologies (e.g., routers, firewalls, VLAN, TCP/IP, DHCP, NAT, WiFi).
- 3GPP technologies (e.g., LTE, 5G Packet Core, RAN).
- Familiarity with NFV (Network Function Virtualization), Kubernetes, containers, and hypervisors (e.g., KVM, ESXi).
- Proficiency with both commercial and open-source performance and scalability testing tools.
- Programming or scripting experience in Python is highly preferred.
- Experience in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Ability to work independently, manage constraints effectively, and collaborate as a strong team player.
